It has never been more important for independent fostering agencies (IFAs) to understand what is involved in an Ofsted visit - be this be virtual or in person, assurance visit, monitoring visit or full inspection. Whilst 93% of IFAs receive good or outstanding judgements, 2020 has been a year in which everyone in children's social care has had to respond quickly and develop new ways of working. These new ways must keep the needs and progress of children at the centre of evidence-based practice, and IFAs must be able to demonstrate this to Ofsted.
This morning webinar will reflect on learning from 2020, what we know about IFA assurance visits and help IFAs to understand the return of full inspection in April 2021 (as currently scheduled).
Speakers include:
Emerging lessons from assurance visits - Matthew Brazier, Ofsted
Trends, themes, preparation - Catherine Lockett, NAFP Associate
IFA assurance visit case study (video)
The final part of the webinar will offer a learning exchange opportunity for attendees to reflect on issues raised within the session and consider key points to take back into their organisations.
