In this seminar Dr Alicia Fairhurst will give an introduction to Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP) including the background to this psychotherapy for adopted children and how it has been adapted to respond to the needs of children in care and those who look after them. Dr Fairhurst will talk through how it can be successfully incorporated in fostering services to address the needs of children in care, the carers who look after them and the teams that support them.

The seminar will include the introduction to PACE (Playful, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy) as a core component of DDP and a 'way of being', and look at the positive impact it can have when incorporated into practice in Fostering services.
